We did it, we survived a year of working from home while homeschooling. I have so much more to say about this, but will save it for another post.
Yesterday, we wrapped up our school year and today, kicked off summer break. After school yesterday, while I was still working, two of the kids went outside to play in the sprinkler at the neighbors……without sunscreen.
They are both so burnt. Benny and Megan have learned a valuable lesson that sometimes you need to learn the hard way. Megan is tough as nails and just puts aloe on it as needed and does not complain, Benny however is another story……What a way to start the summer.
The poor guy has a sun burn from head to toe. He has such fair skin too that he is bright red and in so much pain. He woke up several times last night. Sadly, due to this he sat out of most of today’s activities. He was just too uncomfortable to hang outside for too long.
Today, it is 100 degrees and most of us have spent the day outside, we are wiped out. We have gone fishing and geocaching and even played Pokemon Go. Jimi downloaded it yesterday and now all he wants to do is play. Comment below if you play and have any advice for the newbie. Also, we are new to Geocaching as well and would love some advice on that as well. The kids set a goal of finding 30 Geocaches this summer. They are already planning their next one.
