Welcome to The Beautiful Homestead. This is where we will tell our story. Our story is about a family of 6 moving from just outside of Charlotte, NC to outside of Des Monies, IA. My husband and I have always lived in big cities and have spent our entire adult lives in Charlotte, NC. Last August we moved to Locust, which we thought was the sticks, until now. Please follow us and learn more about our journey from city life, to farm life. Although when we first move to the Des Monies area we will be in a rental house, we have every intention of buying land and building on it. We want to cultivate the land and maybe even get some animals. Thanks for joining us on this journey!
