As Benny says, we are going to meet the presidents! We are taking a trip to the Black Hills, which is where Mount Rushmore is located. We decided to let the older two have complete control over this trip, using it as a great learning experience of budgeting and how much things really cost.
They have been researching things to do and its costs for weeks. We are so excited to take off and start this adventure that they worked so hard to plan. They know down to the penny what everything will cost. Jimi even called a few places to ask questions and research more information. My husband helped them make any reservations, so I am almost completely in the dark!!
Before leaving we had to make a slight change to their budget so that we could swing another hotel night. We were planning on camping one night but as the time came to leave the weather was not looking ideal for camping. It was miserably hot that night and scattered showers. One of the blessings from my husband’s travels is that he accumulates hotel points, which we cashed in for this trip.
Now that we have that all squared away, we are off on our week of adventure and fun! Can’t wait to share more about our trip.
